Boniface drops to third in Nigeria Most Valuable Players’ list
Victor Boniface has dropped from second to third in the Nigeria Most Valuable Players List after Transfermarkt updated the market values of 493 Bundesliga players on Friday.
The Bayer Leverkusen forward is still valued at €45m despite the update which means Ademola Lookman’s €15m jump to his €55m new valuation following the update on the Serie A market values is bettered only by Victor Osimhen’s €75m valuation which makes the Galatasaray attacker is the most valuable African player as at today.
Boniface is still the third most valuable Bayer Leverkusen player after Florian Wirtz who moved €10m up to €140m and Dutchman, Jeremie Frimpong who is valued at €50m.
In the Bundesliga, the 23 year old is ranked the 16th most valuable player behind Wirtz, Jamal Musiala (€140m), Harry Kane (€90m), Xavi Simons (€80m), Michael Olise (€65m), Omar Marmoush
(€60m), Loïs Openda (€60m), Jamie Gittens, Frimpong, Benjamin Sesko, Castello Lukeba, Aleksandar Pavlovic, Joshua Kimmich, Alphonso Davies and Dayot Upamecano (all €50m each).
He is also ranked the 124th mots valuable footballer among all the players in the world.
Boniface’s Nigerian compatriot at Bayer Leverkusen, Nathan Tella dropped from €23m in May to €18m this month to make him the sixth most valuable Nigerian while Frank Onyeka who is at Augsburg FC retains the €9m valuation he brought from Premier League side, Brentford which has made him the 17th most valuable player among Nigerian players.
