Breaking News: Arsenal Go Seven Points Clear of Man City!

Arsenal have opened up a seven‑point lead over Manchester City at the top of the Premier League after defeating Brighton 1-0 at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night.

Bukayo Saka scored the only goal of the game in the ninth minute, finishing off a Jurrien Timber assist. Mikel Arteta’s side controlled the contest and ensured Brighton had no way back.

Manchester City, meanwhile, were held to a 2-2 draw at home by relegation‑threatened Nottingham Forest.

January signing Antoine Semenyo put City ahead in the 31st minute, but Forest equalised through Morgan Gibbs‑White early in the second half.

Rodri restored City’s lead six minutes later, only for Elliot Anderson to level again in the 76th minute.

The results leave Arsenal on 67 points from 30 matches, with City seven points adrift but holding a game in hand.

Chelsea also climbed above Liverpool into fifth place on goal difference after a 4-1 victory over Aston Villa at Villa Park.
