Brentford Boss Tips Onyeka for Success at Coventry City

Brentford manager Keith Andrews has expressed confidence that Super Eagles midfielder Frank Onyeka will make a strong impact at Championship side Coventry City.

Onyeka joined the club during the winter transfer window after struggling to secure regular playing time at Brentford.

The 28-year-old is yet to make his debut for Coventry, having been an unused substitute in their goalless draw against Oxford City at the CBS Arena last weekend.

Speaking to Coventry Telegraph, Andrews highlighted Onyeka’s qualities and experience, insisting he will prove to be a valuable addition.

‘Frank’s a Nigerian international, that’s vastly experienced,’ Andrews said. ‘He’s been on this journey with the club since being promoted from the Championship.

‘Tough tackling, box-to-box midfielder that can get goals. I think he’s a really shrewd buy for Coventry, for where they’re at and where they hopefully want to get to.’

Onyeka, who is expecting his first child with his wife, will be hoping to make his debut next Monday when Coventry City host Middlesbrough in the league.
