‘Chairman’ Christian Chukwu to be buried August 22

Forer Nigeria international winger, Segun Odegbami has revealed that ‘the Earth will finally welcome back home and receive the body of late Nigerian ‘Hall of Fame’ recipient, Sports Ambassador, Member of the Federal Republic, MFR, Airpeace Ambassador, and only ‘Field Marshall’ in the history of Nigerian football, ‘Chairman’ Christian Chukwuemeka Chukwu, on Friday, August 22, 2025.’

Odegbami further revealed that the family of the late ‘Chairman’ of Nigerian football, announced the date Monday morning in Enugu.

He also disclosed that arrangements for a national befitting burial have already begun.

Odegbami also revealed that ‘plans are underway for an event to take place in Lagos, where he played most of his national team football, to enable his fans and friends that may not be able to travel to Enugu for the funeral, to celebrate the legendary Nigerian football hero.’
