Charlton warns Nugent, Russell: I ‘can’t wait’ to be back at Millrose Games
World Indoor 60m hurdles champion and record holder Devynne Charlton says she is eager to get back to the track at the 117th Millrose Games next month in New York, USA.
Charlton, from the Bahamas, ran 7.67 to break the 7.68 World record set by Susana Kallur in Karlsruhe in February 2008 and the 29-year-old is not ruling out a repeat performance next month.
Charlton took to her Instagram page to announce she will be at Millrose Games this year and warns her rivals, most especially reigning Olympic champions, Masai Russell, 2024 World outdoor leader, Ackera Nugent, Paris 2024 Olympic finalists, Grace Stark and Alaysha Johnson, who have all been confirmed for the race that she is ready to have another great event next month.
Nugent and Tia Jones were two of Charlton’s victims last year. She holds a 1-0 head-to-head record against Nugent over the distance, 2-1 over Tia Jones, 4-3 over Johnson and 10-1 over Russell!
