Chelsea Await Arsenal or Crystal Palace, Newcastle Draw Man City in Carabao Cup Semi‑Final

Chelsea will have to wait a little longer to discover whether they will face Arsenal or Crystal Palace in the semi‑finals of the Carabao Cup.

The London rivals were unable to complete their quarter‑final tie as scheduled, with the match pushed back to avoid Palace playing three games in five days due to their Europa Conference League commitments.

Meanwhile, holders Newcastle United have been drawn against eight‑time champions Manchester City in the other semi‑final.

City, who last lifted the trophy in 2021 after four straight triumphs, are back in the last four for the first time since that run.

Newcastle, on the other hand, are looking to build on their historic domestic cup win in March, their first in 70 years.

Chelsea, runners‑up in 2022 and 2024 and last crowned champions in 2015, will play the first leg of their semi‑final in the week beginning 12 January 2026, with the return leg scheduled for early February.
