Chelsea offer Lukaku, Casadei and €40m for Osimhen
Chelsea have offered Romelu Lukaku, Cesare Casadei and €40million (£34m). for Victor Osimhen, according to journalist Damiano Er Faina.
Another journalist and transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano had predicted the Nigerian will start attracting real interest from July as clubs begin pre-season training.
Osimhen has confirmed his desire to leave Napoli this summer, and the feeling is mutual with the club and new head coach Antonio Conte, but as yet no interested club has come close to the striker’s €120m release clause.
Chelsea, it seems, are looking to bring down the price by offering outcast Romelu Lukaku and young Italian midfielder Casadei.
Osimhen joined Napoli from Ligue 1 side, Lille in September 2020 and has featured 133 times for the Partenopei, scoring 76 goals and provided 18 assists.
The Nigerian emerged top scorer in the Serie A last season after scoring 26 goals in 32 appearances. He featured 108 times across four Serie A seasons and netted 65 times. If he leaves Napoli this summer, he will leave as the top scoring African in Serie A history and top scoring African (26) in a Serie A season.
