Chelsea to Face Charlton, Arsenal Draw Portsmouth in FA Cup Third Round

The FA Cup third round draw has set up some intriguing ties, with holders Crystal Palace handed a trip to non-league Macclesfield.

Chelsea will travel across London to face Charlton Athletic, while Arsenal head to the south coast for a clash against Portsmouth. Two other Premier League derbies add spice to the round, with Tottenham hosting Aston Villa and West Ham welcoming QPR.

Manchester City and Liverpool will both face League One opposition, drawing Exeter City and Barnsley respectively. Manchester United will host Brighton, while Newcastle take on Bournemouth and Everton meet Sunderland.

The ties are scheduled to be played between January 9 and 12. As per new rules, all matches will go to extra-time and penalties if required, with no replays.
