The Portuguese icon not only scored twice in the match but also made headlines for a moment captured on the broadcast before his first goal.
In the 56th minute, Ronaldo stepped up to take a penalty that would put Al-Nassr ahead 3-2. Just before striking the ball, he was heard saying ‘Bismillah’, a phrase meaning ‘In the name of God.’
The moment was broadcast live and quickly spread across social media, with fans sharing and commenting on the gesture.
Ronaldo converted the penalty with ease, and later in the 74th minute added a second goal to seal a 4-2 victory. The 41-year-old forward has now reached 967 career goals, further cementing his legendary status in world football.
