Crystal Palace gaffer, Glasner: Christantus Uche available for selection against Sunderland

Nigerian midfielder Christantus Uche could mark a major milestone this weekend as Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner confirmed the new signing is available for selection ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash with Sunderland at Selhurst Park.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Glasner revealed that all international players returned fit and healthy, and that Uche, alongside fellow new arrival Jaydee Canvot, will be part of the matchday squad.

With injuries ruling out Adam Wharton, Ismaïla Sarr, and Eddie Nketiah, the door is open for fresh faces to step in.

‘We have 18 fit on-field players and all the new signings will be in the squad tomorrow,’ Glasner said.

While much attention will be on Pino’s potential first start, Uche’s inclusion signals a proud moment for Nigerian football. The dynamic midfielder, who joined Palace during the summer window, now stands on the brink of his Premier League debut—a chance to showcase his talent on one of football’s biggest stages.
