Former Juventus and AC Milan player and now a football agent, Oscar Damiani says Napoli coach Antonio Conte is the perfect coach to get the best out of Victor Osimhen if the Nigerian ended up staying at the club.
Osimhen is set to leave Napoli after four years in Italy but clubs in Europe have been scared away by the 25 year old’s 130m euros release clause.
The Nigerian is said to have agreed personal terms with Ligue 1 giants, PSG but the Parisians are not ready to pay the huge release clause.
Damiani says if Osimhen ends up staying on at the Stadio Maradona for the 2024-25 campaign, he will be transformed by Conte to become the player that top scored in the Serie A in the 2022/23 season to inspire the Partenopei to their first Scudetto in 33 years.
‘The negotiation between Osimhen, Napoli and PSG is a difficult one that requires a significant amount of money, even for PSG, who have an ownership that allows certain investments to be made,’ Damiani was reported to have said by TMW.
‘If he stays at Napoli, Conte will know how to give him the right sort of motivation,’ Damiani continued. ‘Napoli is a great club and will fight with the greatest ambition.’
