De Bruyne: I will only consider leaving Man City for an absurd amount!

Manchester City midfielder, Kevin de Bruyne says he is not looking to leave the club and will only do so if he receives an absurd amount. He is also hinted Pep Guardiola, the club’s gaffer will not stand in his way.

‘Staying at City? Yes, yes… I’ve read a lot of headlines about a transfer to Saudi Arabia, but I haven’t spoken to anyone’.

‘If there’s a good offer and you tell Pep you want to leave then it is possible. This may be different at other clubs. But I have never indicated that I want to leave.

‘I have more than enough money. But if an absurd amount comes then it is also for my family, my relatives, my grandchildren, my great-grandchildren and my friends’, Transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano reported the player as telling Belgian news outlet, HLN on his X page.

De Bruyne joined Man City in August 2015 and his contract expires next June.

The 33 year old has featured in 382 games for the Cityzens and netted 102 times and provided 170 assists.

As many as 257 of the games have come in the Premier League where he scored 68 and bagged 113 assists, the second highest in the competition behind Manchester United legend, Ryan Giggs (162).
