Dele-Bashiru’s Serie A debut numbers make Lazio fans go crazy

Super Eagles midfielder, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru has become a hero with Lazio fans after the Nigerian made his Serie A debut last weekend in the 3-1 win against Venezia, according to Corriere dello Sport.
’90 minutes on the pitch of running and continuous movement, with a total of 58 touches of the ball, 4 duels won and 43 successful passes, but what is impressive is the number of balls he recovered throughout the match: 11,’ the daily sports paper wrote.
Meanwhile, Lazio coach, Marco Baroni also revealed his satisfaction with the performance of the Nigerian who joined on loan from the Turkish Super Lig.
The 60-year-old notes the Nigerian has great potential but must gel into the team.
‘Dele-Bashiru has great potential. He is a lad who must understand our football and to do so he must train and play. We will give him the opportunity to do so. We also have other good midfielders who are improving. The attitude was important.
He has to improve his posture; he is often closed by the opposition who doesn’t give him the chance to drive forward. But when he opens his shoulder, he is devastating. He has to become a ball-winner, but it’s not easy. It’s a complete upheaval, but he made an extraordinary contribution,’ said Baroni after the game.
All eyes will now be on the 23-year-old when Lazio visit the Bluenergy Stadium – Stadio Friuli this weekend to play Maduka Okoye’s Udinese.
