Diamond League Final: Vuleta tells Brume and others she’s going to Eugene to win

Reigning World indoor and outdoor long jump champion, Ivana Vuleta says she is going to end her rollercoaster year by adding the Daimond League long jump
title as the icing on her hugely successful season.

Vuleta leapt a distance of 6.97m to win the long jump event at the Allianz Memorial Diamond League meeting in Brussels on Friday and the 33 year old is keen
on going to Eugene, Oregon to successfully defend her Diamond League title.

The Serbian who won her first World outdoor title last month at the 19th World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary is keen to making a winning
return to the Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon where she placed seventh in the long jump final at the World Athletics Championships last year.

Vuleta will be seeking to re-enact the form that produced the 7.15m mark that won her the World title in Budapest last month as she guns for her sixth
Diamond League trophy after winning in 2014, 2015, 2017, 2021 and 2022.

‘My next competition will be in Eugene where I hope to jump close to 7m again. I hope to jump more than 6m97 and to win trophy number 5! But this has already
been a very big season for me so I´m very happy,’ said Vuleta after winning in Brussels on Friday.

It has not been a gloom for the Serbian in Oregon as she won the long jump event in May 2014.

Vuleta will be up against glory-seeking Nigerian, Ese Brume who will want to end her season on a high after missing out on a place at the podium in Budapest,
Larissa Iapichino of Italy, Tara Davis-Woodhall of the USA, Brooke Buschkuehl of Australia and Maryna Bekh-Romanchuk of Ukraine
