Dogonyaro joins University of Nevada track and field team

University of Nevada has announced the signing of reigning Nigeria triple jump champion, Meekness Dogonyaro for the 2024 season.

Dogonyaro, 18, will join the University’s track and field team from Kaduna and the school is thrilled to have the Nigerian who holds a 12.95m personal best
competing for the school.

The University’s associate head coach Scott Williamson believes Dogonyaro will hit the ground running as the school bids to the indoor championships come March.

‘We are so excited to have Meekness joining our program. She is a wonderful young lady who has very high aspirations athletically and academically and will make an immediate impact on our program as we strive to win championships,’ said Williamson.

Dogonyaro who will be joining coach Williamson’s group of jumpers plans to study kinesiology while at Nevada.
