Dr Rajpal Brar gives Aston Villa green signal to sign Iheanacho

An injury expert, Dr Rajpal Brar has told Villa News to sign Kelechi Iheanacho if they are really keen as the Nigerian does not pose any risk of being susceptible to injuries.

Iheanacho, the former Leicester City man, has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs with Aston Villa believed to be keen to bring the free agent to the Villa Park.

Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, says the 27 year old may not have played as many minutes as he would’ve liked in terms of his match fitness, with his prior experience in the Premier League will hold him in good stead.

‘He’s not had any injuries that would be red flags for any club looking to sign him, but he has not played too many minutes.

‘The lack of game time can certainly be a worry so the key is he needs to be bedded in gradually.

‘He is moving to the Premier League from the Championship but he’s played there before so will understand the demands of the Premier League.

‘The time to adapt will certainly be lower and it will also depend on how many minutes are expected from him,’ said Dr Brar.

Iheanacho made 196 appearances in the Premier League with Man City and Leicester City, scoring 42 goals and providing 25 assists.
