D’Tigress Begins Title Defense: NBBF Unveils Preliminary Squad for 2025 Women’s AfroBasket

As preparations intensify for the 2025 FIBA Women’s AfroBasket Championship in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) has announced the preliminary squad for the senior women’s national team, D’Tigress.

In line with their roadmap to defend Nigeria’s title, the team will kick off training camp with a slate of structured activities, including the eagerly anticipated Homecoming Games. These exhibition matches will celebrate the team’s previous triumphs and serve as critical opportunities for the technical crew to assess player readiness ahead of final roster decisions.

The NBBF reaffirmed its commitment to fielding the strongest lineup possible, with the clear aim of retaining the continental crown and solidifying Nigeria’s dominance in women’s basketball.
