Eguavoen confident of three points Vs Libya as Eagles camp bubbles with 20 players

Super Eagles caretaker manager, Austin Eguavoen says he and his men will treat Libya with all seriousness when they visit the Godswill Akpabio stadium in Uyo this Friday for the Matchday 3 of the qualifiers for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

‘We will not treat Libya as the bottom-placed club in our group and our focus is only on the game on Friday and we want to win the three points. We want to get the job done as quickly as possible,’ said Equavoen.

Meanwhile, as many as 20 players trained Tuesday evening for Friday’s game.

Following the arrival of goalkeepers Amos Obasogie and Stanley Nwabali on Monday, 18 others, led by captain William Troost-Ekong arrived Tuesday in time for the team’s first training session.

Also in camp is Udinese of Italy goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye who kept his second clean sheet of the season in his team’s 1-0 defeat of Leece at the Bluenergy Stadium – Stadio Friuli on Saturday.

Another Italy-based player and rave of the moment, Ademola Lookman is also in Uyo. Lookman was named among the team of the month of September by football statistics website, Whoscored who also listed in him in the week of the past round of matches.
