Ejuke still best dribbler in LaLiga, Uche tops offside list

Chidera Ejuke has had 23 successful dribbles after six rounds of matches, the joint most so far by any player in the competition in the 2024/25 LaLiga this season.

The Nigerian is tied on 23 with Barcelona wonder boy, Lamine Yamal with Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe second with 21 dibbles while Getafe’s Chrisantus Uche is joint 11th with 12 dribbles with Real Sociedad’s Umar Sadiq 66th with just five dribbles.

Kelechi Iheanacho has had just one successful dribble and is ranked joint 232nd in the LaLiga.

Uche has been caught in an offside position more than any other player in the LaLiga so far this season except Dani Gómez of Valencia.

The Nigerian and Gomez have been caught in an offside position eight times, one more than Mbappe and Thierno Barry of Villareal.

Uche has also played the most number of minutes by a Nigerian (679) followed by Ejuke (407), Iheanacho (271) and Sadiq (185).

Ejuke is however the leader as the Nigerian with most shots with five, followed by Uche (3) and Iheanacho (2) while Sadiq has not had one shot, either on or off target so far.

Ejuke and Uche emain the Nigerians who have scored in the LaLiga this term while none of the four has provided any assist.
