Enyimba coach, Yema wary of Tornadoes away form as both sides clash in Aba
Niger Tornadoes will be guest of Enyimba on Wednesday in a Nigeria Premier Football League game match week seven game at the Enyimba international stadium in Aba.
The visitors have been one of the best teams in the division that have been difficult to beat on the road but have not been inspiring at home.
Tornadoes, sixth on the log with nine points from six games have won two of their last three away games while they are struggling at home as they have not won any of their last three home games.
Enyimba FC coach Olanrewaju Daniel Yemi is wary of the visitors’ threat away from home.
‘Niger Tornadoes have struggled at home, but their away record is a different story altogether. We’re aware of their tactics and strengths, and we’ll be ready for them,’ Yema said in a pre-match interview.
Somiari Alalibo, captain of the two-time CAF Champions League winner says the People’s Elephants are focussed on securing maximum points after the stalemate in Ibadan against Shooting Stars last weekend.
‘No team is a pushover, and we know Tornadoes will give us a good fight, but we’ll come out victorious,’ he said.
Enyimba have won just eight of their 17 meetings with Tornadoes and have lost six times.
