Erling Haaland: Champions League’s my favourite competition
Says competition’s anthem is the ringtone on his phone

Manchester City goal machine, Erling Haaland says the UEFA Champions League is his favourite competition.
The 22 year old has scored 25 times in 20 appearances in the competition and will be keen to add to that on Wednesday when his former club, Borussia Dortmund come calling at the Etihad stadium in a matchday two group game.
‘I love the Champions League. I have to say this, it’s a big dream for me,’ Haaland told Telemundo Deportes this week.
The Norwegian revealed the competition’s anthem is the ringtone on his phone.
“When I wake up every morning, I listen to this song. It’s my favourite competition.”
Haaland is threatening to rewrite records set by Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi that many believed would remain intact for generations.
Haaland’s double against Seville took his tally in the Champions League to 25 goals in 20 games.
At the same stage of their careers, Ronaldo, the competition’s all-time top goalscorer with 140, was yet to score, while Messi struck eight times in his first 20 matches in Europe’s elite club competition.
Haaland also has the best minutes-per-goal ratio in competition’s history among players who have scored at least 25 goals. He has a ration of 61 minutes per goal with Messi (104 minutes) and Ronaldo (114 minutes) fourth and sixth respectively in the top 10 list.
