Fans to Enjoy More Live Football as SuperSport Opens Festive Access

SuperSport is opening a special festive football window on DStv and GOtv, giving fans across Nigeria wider access to live matches during the holiday season and in the build‑up to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The expanded access will run from December 18, 2025, to January 19, 2026, allowing subscribers on select packages to enjoy additional SuperSport channels without upgrading their plans.
The timing aligns with the excitement surrounding AFCON 2025, which begins in Morocco on December 21 and ends on January 18. Throughout the period, DStv customers on Yanga and higher packages will enjoy more UEFA Champions League games, extra Premier League fixtures, and extended programming on SuperSport Football Plus and SuperSport Variety 1.
GOtv subscribers on Jolli and above will also gain access to more football content, including matches from the Champions League, La Liga and Serie A. Between December 29 and January 1, even more SuperSport channels will be opened to GOtv viewers as part of the festive boost.
SuperSport will also launch a dedicated AFCON pop‑up channel from December 18 to January 19.
The channel will deliver comprehensive tournament build‑up, including team previews, classic AFCON encounters, player features, expert analysis and documentary content celebrating Africa’s biggest football event.
The initiative arrives at a moment of growing anticipation across the continent. AFCON remains one of Africa’s most unifying sporting spectacles, and Nigerian fans traditionally embrace the festive season as a time for communal viewing and spirited football conversations.
With the Super Eagles preparing to compete among 24 nations in Morocco, interest is expected to intensify as supporters track team updates, debate squad choices and build excitement ahead of kickoff.
