Favour Ashe runs 10.43 to win 100m race in Lithuania

Favour Ashe sped to a 10.43 finish Wednesday to win the 100m event at the COSMA Cup 2025, a World Athletics Continental Tour – Bronze event in Lithuania.

The Nigerian was the overwhelming favourite to win after storming to a 10.36 finish in the first of three semifinal heats. It was the fastest qualifying time for the final.

The 23 year old was not able to replicate what he did in the semis but ran 10.43, the second fastest time recorded at the event to emerge winners.

Ashe is however unable to break his 10.20 personal season’s best achieved at the MTN CHAMPS Grand Final held at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.

The former Nigeria 100m king competed in the colours of Making of Champions at the Meeting in Lithuania and will be looking to ensure he breaks 10 seconds for the fourth straight season before the end of the season.
