FC Ebedei to Face Sporting Lagos in Gold Cup Final Showdown

The stage is set for a thrilling conclusion to the 13th edition of the Gold Cup this Saturday, as FC Ebedei prepares to take on Sporting Lagos in a highly anticipated final at the FC Ebedei Stadium in Apele-Sagamu.
FC Ebedei secured their first ever appearance in the Gold Cup final after a dramatic semi-final victory over Crown FC.
The match ended goalless in regulation time, forcing a penalty shootout where the Oliseh Boys triumphed 4–2. Goalkeeper Ojo Daniel, brought on as a substitute, delivered a standout performance by saving two crucial penalties, while tournament top scorer Kennedy John sealed the win with the decisive fifth kick.
Sporting Lagos also reached their maiden final, having edged past former champions Lobi Stars in the first semifinal thanks to a late strike from super sub Shola Oladunjoiye.
The final will be a rematch of their Group A encounter, where Sporting Lagos claimed a 2–1 victory.
