FCAAN mourns the passing of female coach Adenike Ayodele
The Football Coaches Association of African Nations (FCAAN) is mourning the sudden demise of Coach Adenike Ayodele, a dedicated and hardworking member of the association. Coach Adenike passed away on Wednesday after a brief illness.
According to reports, Coach Adenike had recently passed an interview with the newly created First Bank female team and was on her way home when she fell ill. She was hospitalized and later discharged but unfortunately succumbed to her illness a few days later.
Femi Amusan, the FCAAN Media Head,says the organization’s President, Dr. Terry Eguaoje, ‘expressed sadness over Coach Adenike’s sudden demise, praising her commitment to FCAAN and the development of female football in Nigeria.’
Amusan revealed in a press statement signed by him that ‘FCAAN CEO and owner of Dana Football Club, Lagos, Danny Nazzel also paid tribute to Coach Adenike, describing her as a key factor in the success of Dana Ladies Football Club. She was full of live and always making everyone around her laugh.’
The FCAAN family has prayed for God to grant them and Coach Adenike’s immediate family the fortitude to bear the loss.
