Fenerbahçe Add Super Eagles Striker Akor Adams to Transfer Shortlist

Turkish giants Fenerbahçe are closely monitoring the progress of Super Eagles forward Jerome Akor, with reports from Aspor suggesting the Istanbul club could make a move for the Sevilla striker during the January transfer window.
Akor, 25, has impressed in La Liga this season, scoring three goals and providing two assists in 14 appearances, form that has earned him a place in Nigeria’s senior national team.
His performances have not gone unnoticed, with Aspor reporting that Fenerbahçe’s recruitment team have added him to a shortlist of attacking options as they look to bolster their frontline for the second half of the Turkish Super Lig campaign.
According to Aspor, Fenerbahçe’s list of targets includes high-profile names such as Romelu Lukaku and Artem Dovbyk, but Akor is seen as a more attainable option given his current situation at Sevilla.
The Turkish outlet noted: ‘Fenerbahçe are determined to add a powerful striker to their squad. If negotiations for Lukaku or Dovbyk do not progress, the club will turn their attention to Sevilla’s Nigerian forward Akor Adams, who has shown great promise in Spain.’
Akor’s contract with Sevilla runs until June 2029, and his market value is estimated at around €7 million. While Sevilla are not actively looking to sell, Fenerbahçe believe the Nigerian could be prised away if the right offer is made.
The club has previously signed forwards from Sevilla, including Youssef En-Nesyri, and see Akor as another potential addition from the Andalusian side.
