Fenerbahçe Raise Lookman Bid to €40m Ahead of Italy Talks

Fenerbahçe have intensified their efforts to sign Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman from Atalanta, with club officials set to travel to Italy after the Galatasaray derby to push through the deal.

The Yellow-Navy Blues, who have already added Mert Günok, Gaëtan Guendouzi and Musaba in the winter transfer window, have identified Lookman as their primary attacking target.

According to reports in Sözcü, Fenerbahçe plan to secure the 27-year-old on loan with an option to buy.

The Istanbul giants are prepared to commit a total package worth €40 million, comprising a €5m loan fee and a €35m permanent transfer fee at the end of the season.

Club president Sadettin Saran is personally overseeing negotiations, with Ertan Torunoğulları and Devin Özek expected to fly to Italy immediately after the Galatasaray clash to finalise talks with Atalanta.

Lookman, who has impressed in Serie A with his pace, creativity and eye for goal, is seen as a marquee addition to bolster Fenerbahçe’s forward line as they chase domestic and European success.
