FIFA 2026 World Cup Qualifiers: Osimhen, Arokodare lead early arrivals as Eagles camp opens in Kigali
Red hot Galatasaray of Turkey forward, Victor Osimhen and Genk of Belgium star striker, Tolu Arokodare are in the Super Eagles’ camp in Kigali ahead of Friday’s FIFA 2026 World Cup qualifiers against their host, the Amavubi of Rwanda.
Osimhen, who has scored 26 goals in 30 games for Galatasaray tops list of six players who arrived the Radisson Blu nest of the team ahead of the must-win tie.
Others are Arokodare who has scored 19 times this season in 35 games across all competitions, Olympiacos of Greece left back, Bruno Onyemaechi and Singida Black Stars Sports Club
of Tanzania goalkeeper, Amos Obasogie.
Others are the home based duo of goalkeeper Kayode Bankole of Remo Stars and Papa Daniel of Niger Tornadoes.
The Super Eagles will face their host, the Amavubi of Rwanda on Friday knowing a loss or a draw will further damage their chances of picking the lone ticket on offer in the group.

The Nigerians have drawn three and lost one of the four matches they have played to sit fifth on the log with three points, four adrift of the trio of Rwanda, South Africa and Republic of Benin.
A win on Friday will move the Super Eagles to six points and could stay just one point behind the trio if other results go their way.
South Africa will host Lesotho while Gernot Rohr’s Cheetahs of Benin Republic will be guest of Zimbabwe who will play the game in Durban, South Africa.
The Super Eagles will face Zimbabwe after the game against Rwanda while Rwanda will host Lesotho. Benin Republic will host South Africa at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire with one or both of the teams dropping points.
