The 28 year old former Arsenal star is having his best season in front of goal and is only one goal away from becoming the 10th Nigerian to hit 10 goals in a Premier League season.
He has scored 31 goals in 286 appearances so far in the Premier League spread among three clubs across 10 seasons.

If there is any Nigerian that will play more games than Ameobi, it definitely will be Alex Iwobi but it definitely will not be this outgoing season.
Iwobi has made 286 appearances so far in the competition since he made his debut in October 2015 and has just five more games to play this season.
Even if Iwobi features in all five remaining games, it will only take his overall appearances to 291, seven less than what Ameobi achieved.

Yobo remains one of the most dependable defenders Nigeria has exported to the Premier League.
He has made the highest number of starts, won more duels () than he lost () and kept 67 clean sheets in 228 games he featured in for Everton and Norwich City.
Yobo also made 1,208 clearances, 707 more than Ndidi (501) made in 215 Premier League games. The Leicester City midfielder is next to Yobo in that ranking.
