Foot Mercato: Nigeria, Egypt in race to employ Herve Renard as coach

Nigeria and Egypt are in the race to sign former Saudi Arabia coach, Herve Renard after the Olympic Games, according to reports.

French news outlet, Foot Mercato reports late on Thursday night that the French man is badly wanted by Nigeria who have said they are on the look out for a foreigner technical adviser/manager and Egypt.

Foot Mercato further reports that both countries have made an offer to the former Sochaux coach.

‘The two proposals are around 2 million euros per year,’ wrote the French news outlet.

Nigeria are badly in need of a technical adviser that can change the fortunes of the Super Eagles in the qualifiers for the FIFA 2026 World Cup after drawing three and lost their first four games.
