Nigerian winger sparks Fulham’s comeback against Brighton

Samuel Chukwueze announced his Premier League return in style, striking Fulham’s equaliser in their 2-1 comeback victory over Brighton at Craven Cottage.

The Nigerian forward, fresh from representing his country at AFCON 2025, was introduced in the second half for and wasted no time making an impact.

On his 10th league appearance since joining Fulham on loan from AC Milan last summer, he coolly finished Joachim Andersen’s pinpoint long ball into the bottom corner, marking his third Premier League goal.

Chukwueze’s influence has been undeniable, with seven goal contributions in just ten matches, three goals and four assists.

Reflecting on his performance, he expressed delight at both his strike and the team’s resilience

‘I am so happy for the team and also my goal. We needed that win, it was tough to come back so it was a good game for us. The manager told me to do what I can do best. Everything worked out today. It was a fantastic pass from Andersen, I have to give him credit when I get into the dressing room.’

He also praised teammate Harry Wilson, who continues to shine this season: ‘Harry Wilson is in the form of his life. He deserves it. He has been incredible throughout the season.’
