Fulham boss, Silva says there’s more to come from Iwobi
Fulham head coach Marco Silva says Alex Iwobi has become a very important and decisive player for the West London side after the Nigerian put up another stellar, goalscoring performance last weekend at Goodison Park.
Iwobi scored a super goal on his return to Everton where he played for four season and scored nine goals in 140 appearances across all competitions.
The 28-year old’s performance thrilled Silva who believes the Nigerian has hit even bigger heights this term.
‘His contribution was top drawer again from the first minute. He is improving game by game, being more important and more decisive for us.
‘Last season was probably his best at this level but I think he’s going to be even better this season. He is taking more responsibility and pushing the team forwards,’ Silva told the club’s official website.
Iwobi has scored eight times in 44 games across all competitions for Fulham since he joined in September 2023 with seven of the goals coming in 39 Premier League games.
