Fulham fans vote Bassey Man of the Match Vs Liverpool

Fulham fans have voted defender, Calvin Bassey the Man of the Match following his dominant display in the Cottagers’ 3-2 win over Liverpool at Craven Cottage.

Bassey picked up 45.41 per cent of the vote, with Rodrigo Muniz coming second (18.81%) and Sander Berge following in third (11.73%).

There was no place in the top three for Alex Iwobi who the Premier League official website named the overall man of Sunday’s game and not just for Fulham

Bassey ensured Liverpool star, Mo Salah had a very quiet game. In fact, it was only the second time in the Premier League this season that the Egyptian failed to register a shot on target – the first was also against Fulham.

Speaking post-match, Marco Silva believes Bassey has all the attributes to be one of the world’s best defenders.

‘It was a great performance from him. If he’s able to keep the focus, he has all the skills to be a top central defender,’ said Silva.
