Fulham FC eye Tolu Arokodare in ambitious summer transfer move
Fulham Football Club are reportedly preparing a bold move to sign Tolu Arokodare, the prolific Nigerian striker from Belgian side Genk, as part of their summer transfer strategy to strengthen their attacking line.
According to The Sun, Fulham have already held exploratory talks with Arokodare’s representatives following his recent agency switch, a move believed to be aimed at facilitating a transfer to the Premier League.
The 24-year-old forward is said to be eager to play in England, with Fulham emerging as a serious contender despite interest from Manchester United and AC Milan.
Arokodare enjoyed a standout 2024–25 season, finishing as the top scorer in the Belgian Pro League with 17 league goals and 23 in all competitions. Standing at 6’4″, he is known for his aerial dominance, pace, and clinical finishing—qualities that have caught the attention of top European clubs.
Fulham manager Marco Silva is reportedly a huge admirer of the Nigerian international and sees him as a perfect fit for the club’s tactical setup. The Cottagers are looking to add firepower after a mixed Premier League campaign, where only Raul Jimenez and Alex Iwobi reached double-digit goal contributions.
Arokodare, who has made four appearances for Nigeria, is valued at around £15 million, and Fulham are believed to be ready to meet Genk’s asking price.
If the deal materializes, Arokodare would join a growing Nigerian contingent at Craven Cottage, including Iwobi and Calvin Bassey, further strengthening the club’s ties with West Africa’s footballing talent.
