Galatasaray Coach Buruk Confirms Osimhen Nearing Return for Crucial Fixtures

Galatasaray coach Okan Buruk has provided an update on Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, revealing that the forward has resumed running as he continues his recovery from a broken arm sustained against Liverpool.

Speaking after his side’s 3-1 victory over Göztepe, Buruk explained that while Osimhen is unlikely to feature at the weekend, he could be included in the squad for the upcoming Gençlerbirliği clash if his progress continues.

‘Osimhen has started running. It will be difficult for him to return for the weekend, but I think he can be in the squad for the Gençlerbirliği match we will play next week, if the conditions are suitable. Maybe we can skip it and use him in the Fenerbahçe match. We need to look at the situation,’ Buruk said.

Osimhen’s return is seen as vital for Galatasaray, who remain four points clear at the top of the Super League and are preparing for the decisive derby against Fenerbahçe.

His presence could provide the attacking spark the team has missed in recent weeks and strengthen their push for the championship.
