Galatasaray launches bold move for Lookman

Galatasaray is making headlines after the derby draw with Fenerbahçe, and this time it’s about Ademola Lookman.

The yellow and reds have been tracking the Nigerian forward for some time, and now they’ve taken their first official step.

Reports say Galatasaray met with Lookman’s agent and put forward a salary offer that is hard to refuse.

The offer is said to be significantly higher than what Lookman currently earns at Atalanta. However, no direct talks have been held with the Italian club yet.

Journalist Matteo Moretto noted that Atalanta is determined to keep Lookman, who is under contract until 2027, and there is no agreement in place between Galatasaray and the player.

Lookman has featured in 13 matches this season, playing 886 minutes and contributing three goals and one assist.

Despite Atalanta’s reluctance to let him go, Galatasaray’s move signals serious intent to bring him to Istanbul in the January transfer window.
