Galatasaray move to hijack Fenerbahçe pursuit of Lookman, table €25m bid

Galatasaray have made their move for Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman, stepping into a transfer race long dominated by rivals Fenerbahçe.
According to reports from Italy, Galatasaray Sportif AŞ Deputy President Abdullah Kavukcu travelled to Milan to advance negotiations, with Lookman firmly on his radar alongside Monaco midfielder Youssouf Fofana.
Renowned journalist Gianluca Di Marzio revealed that Galatasaray’s opening offer to Atalanta for the 27-year-old attacker is set at €25 million.
Lookman, who has been one of Atalanta’s standout performers in Serie A, has attracted strong interest from Fenerbahçe throughout the winter transfer window.
However, Galatasaray’s decisive bid signals their intent to secure what could be the club’s biggest signing of the year.
The Nigerian international has built a reputation as a dynamic forward capable of playing across the front line, and his arrival would add significant firepower to Galatasaray’s attack as they continue their push in both domestic and European competitions.
With two Turkish giants now vying for his signature, Atalanta face a crucial decision in the coming weeks. For Galatasaray, landing Lookman would not only strengthen their squad but also deliver a symbolic victory over their fiercest rivals.
