Galatasaray reignite Lookman pursuit ahead of Champions League push

Galatasaray are preparing a renewed transfer push for Ademola Lookman, with Fanatik reporting that the club will act if they reach the next round of the Champions League.

According to Fanatik, Galatasaray are once again targeting the Nigerian who currently plays for Atalanta in Serie A.

The Turkish giants were keen to sign him during the summer transfer window but failed to reach an agreement. Now, with Champions League progression in sight, the club is ready to reignite negotiations.

Lookman is said to be demanding an annual salary of around €8 million, while Atalanta’s valuation stands at approximately €20 million. If Galatasaray advance in Europe, they plan to make a direct offer to secure the transfer.

The move could also pave the way for the sale of Barış Alper Yılmaz, who may be allowed to leave if Lookman joins.

Adding to the intrigue, Osimhen has reportedly encouraged his Nigerian teammate to make the switch, telling him, ‘Come to Galatasaray and be happy here,’ according to reports cited by Fanatik and other outlets.

Lookman has shown signs of interest, engaging with Galatasaray-related posts on social media and expressing openness to the move if the clubs reach an agreement.
