Galatasaray of Turkey star, Victor Osimhen has landed in Uyo from Istanbul, Turkey and was a part of the 22 other Super Eagles players that trained Thursday evening for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying games against Republic of Benin and Rwanda.
Osimhen sealed his loan deal from Napoli to Galatasaray on Wednesday after medicals and the 25-year-old has now arrived in Uyo to Nigeria make a flying start to their AFCON 2025 qualifying campaign after the disappointment of drawing three and losing one of the four games in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign.
The Super Eagles will face the Cheetahs of Republic of Benin in Uyo on Saturday in what looks like a revenge match after the Benin team, led by former Super Eagles boss, defeated the Nigerians on matchday four game in their FIFA 2026 World Cup campaign.
Osimhen will also be in the party to Kigali where they will face the Amavubi of Rwanda at the Amahoro stadium on September 10.
