Galatasaray to Napoli: We are coming with Letter of Credit for Osimhen
Galatasaray has made a decisive move in its pursuit of Victor Osimhen, informing Napoli that a formal letter of credit is being prepared to guarantee the €75 million transfer fee.
According to transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà, the Turkish champions are working with banks to finalize the financial structure, with deferrals expected to be completed no later than 2026.

‘Galatasaray announced this morning to Napoli that it will present a letter of credit — more than a guarantee. Work is underway with the banks to cover the €75 million figure. Technical timing may delay things by a few days, but Osimhen will continue to wait.’
Napoli, meanwhile, is actively reshaping its attack. With Victor Osimhen’s high salary weighing on the books and the club eager to cash in, the pressure is mounting to finalize the deal.
In a twist, Darwin Nunez, once Napoli’s top target, is now off the table. Despite nearly 70 days of negotiations and mutual interest, the deal collapsed just 48 hours ago. Napoli had no issue with the striker’s salary demands — reportedly over €5 million plus bonuses — but talks ultimately broke down.
Instead, Lorenzo Lucca is now set to join the Azzurri frontline. Napoli had listed the Udinese striker as a backup option since May, and with the Nunez track closed, Lucca is stepping into the spotlight.
As Galatasaray pushes forward and Napoli recalibrates, all eyes remain on Osimhen — the man at the center of one of this summer’s most dramatic transfer sagas.
