Gift Orban Poised for Ligue 1 Return with Toulouse FC

Nigerian striker Gift Orban is on the verge of a return to Ligue 1, just six months after departing Olympique Lyonnais, according to reports from Foot Mercato.

The 23-year-old forward endured a challenging stint at Lyon, where he struggled to make a lasting impact. With the club facing financial constraints, Orban was among the players deemed surplus to requirements and exited in January.

He joined TSG Hoffenheim in a €9 million move, and initially showed promise—scoring four goals in his first six Bundesliga appearances.

However, his form dipped in the latter half of the season, and he gradually slipped into a peripheral role within the squad.

Now, Hoffenheim are reportedly ready to part ways with Orban, and a deal has been reached with Toulouse FC. The French side is set to acquire him on loan, with an option to buy, offering the forward a fresh opportunity to reignite his career in familiar territory.
