Gift Orban set to join Hoffenheim in Germany
According to international transfer expert and journalist, Fabrizio Romano, French Ligue 1 side, Lyon have reached an agreement with German Bundesliga side Hoffenheim for the transfer of Nigeria striker, Gift Orban.
According to the details in the news, the official process will be started after the player’s side reaches an agreement.
Orban has recently attracted the attention of clubs in Turkey with Victor Osimhen’s Galatasaray among Turkish Super Lig clubs linked to him.
The Nigerian joined Lyon in January 2024 from Belgian Jupiler Pro League side, KAA Gent where he scored 32 goals in 52 appearances.
But after a year in France, Orban has netted just five times in 21 appearances.
This term, he has played just thrice in 15 games and has scored three times in five appearances across all competitions.
Chinedu Obasi is on record as the most high-profile Nigerian to play for Hoffenheim.
