GOtv Boxing Night 34: Happy Boy Vows to Dethrone Tiny in Title Clash

Sodiq ‘Happy Boy’ Adeleke has issued a fiery warning ahead of his national super bantamweight title bout against defending champion Durotimi ‘Tiny’ Agboola, promising fans ‘war’ when the two meet on 26 December at GOtv Boxing Night 34.
Adeleke, who recently won the Mojisola Ogunsanya Memorial Trophy for Best Boxer at GOtv Boxing Night 33, is aiming to build on his momentum by claiming his first national title. At the last edition of the show, he pocketed N1 million attached to the best boxer prize, a feat that cemented his status as one of the brightest attractions heading into the Boxing Day event at Tafawa Balewa Square.
‘Tiny (Agboola) will be made to look tiny. I cannot afford to lose this fight. I will not lose. I am sure. This is my first title attempt and I have to make it count. It will be war. Real war. He cannot escape,’ Adeleke declared.
The night will also feature several other high-profile contests. Segun ‘Odi’ Gbobaniyi will square off against Tobiloba ‘Smiling Assassin’ Ijomoni in a national lightweight challenge, while Sodiq ‘Smart Lion’ Suleiman takes on Emmanuel ‘Ability’ Abimbola in a light welterweight clash.
In the super bantamweight division, Ezekiel ‘Touch’ Seun will battle Toheeb ‘Full Tank’ Hassan, and Sadam ‘Baby Boxer’ Oladipupo faces Imole ‘System’ Oloyede in an eight-round lightweight contest.
GOtv Boxing Night 34, tagged Jams Festival and organized by Flykite Productions, promises more than just boxing. The event will combine thrilling fights with live music and entertainment, offering Lagosians a festive year-end spectacle.
Bamidele Johnson, Chief Operating Officer of Flykite Productions, said the show will deliver its trademark mix of top-level competition and entertainment.
‘The matchups announced so far reflect the level of competition we aim to deliver every December. The entertainment package that we will announce soon will also be top notch. This show has always been big and will be big this year,’ Johnson assured.
