‘I can’t wait to make my mark with Albion’: Nnadozie switches Paris FC for Brighton
After five unforgettable seasons with Paris FC, Nigerian international goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie is set to begin a new chapter in her professional career with Albion, joining the club on July 1, subject to the usual regulatory procedures.
Reflecting on the move, Nnadozie said: ‘Paris has been my home for the past five years, and I’m grateful for every experience, every match, and every moment that shaped me into the player I am today. Joining Albion is an exciting next step. I’m ready for a new challenge and to bring my best to help this team reach its goals.’
Since arriving in France from Rivers Angels in 2020, Nnadozie amassed 118 appearances for Paris FC, including a historic performance in the 2025 Coupe de France Féminine final, where her penalty saves led the team to triumph over PSG. Between 2022 and 2025, she competed in 16 UEFA Women’s Champions League matches, showcasing her shot-stopping prowess on Europe’s biggest stage.
In 2024, she made history by becoming the first African player to be named UNFP Division 1 Féminine Goalkeeper of the Season, also earning both the D1 Arkema Best Goalkeeper and UNFP Goalkeeper of the Season honors.
Prior to her European journey, Nnadozie helped lead Rivers Angels to the Nigeria Women’s Premier League title and three Nigeria Women’s Cup victories, while also being named IFFHS Africa’s Best Woman Goalkeeper in 2019.
On the international stage, she debuted for the Super Falcons at just 17, and has since earned 55 caps, becoming a mainstay for Nigeria’s national team.
