Iheanacho is 21st Eagle in Uyo camp for Benin, Rwanda AFCON 2025 qualifying games

Eguavoen in charge as Nigeria begins training at Godswill Akpabio stadium

Sevilla of Spain forward, Kelechi Iheanacho is the 21st Super Eagles player to arrive the team’s Uyo camp ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against the Cheetahs of Republic of Benin and the Amavubi of Rwanda.

Iheanacho arrived Wednesday morning and was part of the team’s breakfast.

The team began training on Monday with interim manager, Austin Eguavoen in charge with assistants Rangers of Enugu coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu and Remo Stars gaffer, Daniel Ogunmodede.

The Super Eagles will host the Cheetahs of Republic of Benin on Saturday at the Godswill Akpabio stadium in Uyo before travelling the next day to Kigali, the capital of Rwanda for the game against the Amavubi.

Only Udinese of Italy goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye and Galatasaray of Turkey new signing, Victor Okoye are yet to report.

Udinese played on Sunday at home against Como and should have been in camp latest Monday evening or Tuesday morning while transfer issues may prevent Osimhen from report in as he has to properly sort out his career first.
