Iheanacho subbed on for the 105th time in 175 Premier League games
Nigeria forward Kelechi Iheanacho started from the bench for the sixth Premier League game in seven appearances so far this season and was subbed on in the 79th minute of the Foxes 2-1 loss at the Vitality stadium to their host, Bournemouth.
It was the 105th time the former Manchester City forward will be subbed on as he made his 175th appearance since August 2015 when he made his Premier League appearance.
In his first season in the Premier League (2015/16), Iheanacho started only seven games out of the 26 he featured in albeit he scored eight times for Manchester City.
The following season he was subbed on 15 times in 20 appearances while in 2017/18, he started only seven times in 21 games in his first season with Leicester City after leaving the Etihad stadium.
In the Nigerian’s second season at the King Power stadium (2018/2019) he started nine games in 30 appearances and scored just once. He started one less game the following season in 20 games but managed to score five goals.
Iheanacho enjoyed his most productive season in the lockdown period (2020/2021) after starting 16 times in 25 games and scoring 12 times, his first double digit figure in front of goals in the competition.
Last season he was subbed on 13 times in 26 games and has been brought on as a substitute six times in seven games so far this season.
The 26 year old has scored once in the Premier League so far this season to bring his total tally to 38. He has also provided one assist which will also bring his total in 175 games to 21.
