Iheanacho unveiled, says he is ready to play in the LaLiga and deliver trophies for Sevilla

Nigeria forward, Kelechi Iheanacho was unveiled by Sevilla in front of the media on Tuesday morning and the former Leicester City player insists he has made the right decision to come to the club and play in the LaLiga.

‘I feel very good and am happy to come to Sevilla and to be a new Sevilla player, I am very happy to be here. Like I said before, I am very happy.

‘I am going to play like I did in England, it is a new challenge. I am ready to play in the Spanish league and I am going to give everything for Sevilla,’ he told the club’s official website.

Iheanacho revealed how he had been following matches last season and the challenge of replacing Youssef En-Nesyri.

‘I don’t feel the pressure of being En-Nesyri’s replacement. He’s a great striker and he’s done a lot for the team. Unfortunately, he is no longer here, but I am here. I just want to focus on the games and the team and train to make history on the pitch,’ said the Nigerian.

Iheanacho has met with his new teammates and expressed his happiness at joining the group.

‘I am happy to be with the group. It is always important to be part of the group. The coach is excellent. I want to play, show my ability. It is going to be something very good for me. Now I am very happy that I have been able to join the group.’

The Nigerian says he will be prioritizing team play and group successes.

‘My goal as a player is, obviously, to score goals. It would be great, but the most important thing is to win as a team, play as a team and score goals as a team. To win trophies and meet our objectives,’ he said.
