‘I’m where I want to be,’ says Azubuike as Erzurumspor FK officially announce his transfer

Turkish second division league club Erzurumspor FK has officially announced that they have signed former Nigeria U23 captain, Okechukwu Azubuike.

The club announced that it has added Azubuike, who parted ways with Rizespor, to its squad.

‘We have signed a 1-year official contract with Azubuike, good luck to our community. Welcome to our Erzurumspor, Azubuike,’ read the statement.

The club also shared the statement on its social media accounts and prepared a promotional film for the player’s transfer.

In the promotional film, the Nigerian visited the Palandöken Ski Center and the historical places of the city.

‘Hello, I’m Azubuike, I’m at the top of Anatolia. This is Erzurum and this wonderful city is one of the most historical and beautiful cities in Turkey. Many clubs in Turkey and the world are preparing for their matches by training in this city.

I will reflect the feeling of this city to you with the number 25 on the field. Come on, Erzurumspor, to victory again,’ Azubuike sayid in the film.
