Insigne warns Osimhen to ‘think carefully’ before leaving Napoli
Former Napoli star Lorenzo Insigne has warned Victor Osimhen to ‘think carefully’ before leaving Napoli for pastures new.
Osimhen has been linked with a move away from Napoli since he scored 26 goals in 32 games to inspire the club to their first Serie A title in 33 years with Real Madrid, Chelsea, Man United, Bayern Munich and Chelsea named as the big clubs interested in the Nigerian.
Offers came from Saudi Arabia and Chelsea have been linked with a January move for the 24 year old but Insigne, who now plays for MLS side, Toronto FC wants his former teammate not to rush into any decision.
‘I would tell him to think carefully before leaving Napoli, because the emotional response you get here cannot be found elsewhere. The Scudetto is different in Naples compared to other clubs.’
‘He will make the best decision for himself. I hope that he will remain at Napoli for a long time, and if the club has to make an extra effort on the contract, it is worth it, because there are few strikers as talented as he is,’ Insigne told Sky Italia in an interview.
