Inter Milan close in on Lookman as Atalanta door swings open

The chase for Nigerian star Ademola Lookman is reaching fever pitch, and Inter Milan believe the finish line is in sight.

After weeks of negotiations, the Nerazzurri have upped their offer to €45 million, including add-ons, in a bid to pry the explosive forward away from Atalanta.

The latest proposal—€42 million upfront plus €3 million in bonuses—was formally submitted following a private exchange between Inter President Beppe Marotta and Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi.

Atalanta’s top brass have now confirmed what many suspected: Lookman wants to leave. With the player’s desire clear and personal terms already agreed with Inter3, the Bergamo club appears to be softening its stance.

Though Atalanta had initially held firm on a €50 million valuation, the latest developments suggest they may be ready to compromise. Inter, sensing the shift, are confident that the green light is imminent.

Lookman, 27, is coming off a stellar season that included a hat-trick in the UEFA Europa League final, helping Atalanta lift their first-ever European trophy.

His pace, flair, and finishing have made him one of the most sought-after forwards in Europe.

With Napoli and Atlético Madrid also circling, Inter are racing to seal the deal before the window closes.
